~ From Nate ~
Julia and I are sitting at the table outside of the Refuge Cove General Store, looking out at the marina – busiest Iβve seen it by far. Itβs her birthday!

One of Juliaβs birthday presents was a real shower here at Refuge. Weβve also got lots of supplies plus propane and water.
Using a little Wi-Fi to catch up on posts – many thanks to Julia for so much keeping track and beautiful writing. I will try to back-fill pictures when we have time and service.
We just left a blissed-out stern-tie in Grace Harbour, where we enjoyed paddling, a rainy inside day, and an overnight visit from dear friend Brian aboard his Malibu, serving the people like usual (e.g. taking a friend across the Strait of Georgia at 6:30am so the friend could rescue his parentsβ boat after a medical emergency).

Weβve really been sinking into it and yet the end is starting to feel near. Julia says going home sounds really nice. Coop and Osh are just getting into a groove with us all aboard. I want to do this forever.
Weβre headed north for a few more nights in Desolation Sound – planning two nights at a favorite and two nights at a must-see-but-havenβt.
Then weβll head back to Cortes to get ready for the Shark Spit Full Moon Regatta – two days of racing which Ron has helped organize for over 40 years. Really looking forward to more time with him before the trip is done.
For now, and henceforth, we celebrate! We celebrate togetherness, dreams, and the power of being close even when not together.
Happy Birthday Momma! Happy Birthday Mama! Happy Birthday Julia!!!
