Walsh Cove Redux | Day 43 | 8.5.22

~ From Julia ~

Happy Birthday Lynne!

Woke up remembering that I was 71 years old. Slept well.

Nate was up first. Sunny and windy. Not as warm but might change. Nate made coffee and took off in the Minto to see if Andy wanted to go sailing. Andy met up with Nate out in Waddington Channel. We could hear them chatting away as they came by.

Oceanna did the dishes and she and Coop made a late breakfast, hashbrowns and left over enchiladas scrambled eggs.

Today is my dear friend Lynne’s birthday and tomorrow is my dear friend Boo’s birthday. We’re the Trio of Leos.

Oceanna and Coop were on the water most of the day. Great times. Coop jumped off the rock wall behind the boat.

Life is sweet. Nate took time to work in the bilge cleaning it out. I washed dishes then brought up all the rugs to the top deck and shook them out and swept them then washed the decks.

I had fun paddle boarding along the rock walls and around the little island. I made it off the board and up the ladder all by myself, with Nate’s coaching. Then Nate said he was going to jump off the rock wall. I kept watching him to reach the place behind the boat and he never did but then I saw him up high on top of a big big cliff. Oceanna was looking too and Coop was in the water below Nate. It happened and I was a bit worried. Turned out ok… and I must have missed the first short one and the first high one… and just got to see the third one. Hope a few of the pictures Cooper snapped will be on this blog.

Quote for the day: “I’m just going to be in my undies all day.” Said Coop.

“They don’t have to be your undies, they can be your outties.” Said Nate.

Today was a crafty day and I made a bunch of knot bracelets for Coop, Oceanna and Nate.

Our plan is to leave at the crack of dawn to get up to Toba Inlet to see the sunrise above the snow covered peaks and pass all the amazing mountains. Got the boat ready for early departure.

Everyone had a sun shower. As the sun was going down Nate brought out the cold bottle of Champagne to cheers the day and the half-moon. We are excited about the Full Moon Shark Spit Regatta!
